In this fake encounter, J. Paul Williamson is at first pleasantly surprised by the visit from the legend of Hollywood Journalism Peter Bart. Things start to change however when Williamson has to explain the ridiculous waste of money used to destroy a punk band over the use of a font on an album discontinued in 2004. The Vandals, representing themselves in Delaware Federal Court, recently beat this law firm with over 900 lawyers in it in round one. The Federal Judge ruled that Variety (and parent company Reed Elsevier) were nuts to think it was fair to sue the Vandals in Delaware. He granted the Vandals motion and transferred it to California. But it’s not over. Why were they sued in Delaware?
