@PineappleGummies ur wrong about that if you say no they cant tear threw your car. there only option is to call a dog to the scene and let him walk through and arounfd the car. if it alerts to somthing then they have probable cause the proceed and search. if a search is done on the car without the dog on scene alerting to somthing it dont matter if they found a pound in the back seat the defendant is walking free in court if they take it to trial.

But I see alot of problems from your statement. Although I understand it. But the idea that you shouldn’t assert your right because the police will make your life hard, isn’t that in itself wrong? Aswell lawyers tell you this because in court wouldn’t be easier for a person who did assert their rights for a lawyer to defend you? This idea to roll over because we fear the police is in itself very scary least to me.
@smokieflamexxx I’m just saying the cops I know do this. When someone refuses a search they call in to see if that person fits the description of anyone wanted and use that as probable cause to detain and search. Perp descriptions are often vague especially when it’s a black person or Mexican so they usually get what they want. Plus I never said anything about a dog just a standard search.

Ya know, I had something similar to this happen about 6 months ago, cop pulled me over for going the wrong way on an unmarked one way street, claimed he smelled alcohol when he obviously didn’t, I didn’t have a problem with him checking my back seat and glancing in my trunk because guess what? My buddy and I had no alcohol in the car and knew we hadn’t been drinking. Shocking how I don’t have to give a fuck what questions he asks when I don’t have to worry about him finding anything illegal.

Something like this happen to me im not cosent to search i don’t talk back and just don’t answer when a cop demand i have something to seek in my pocket.

His advice to step outside when the police are at your door is bad. NEVER EVEN OPEN THE DOOR to the police as they can put their foot in the door to keep it propped open. Yell through it that you don’t open the door for police. If they need to talk you, have their dispatcher call your cell phone. Yell your cell # through the door.
